Below is true account of incident
In Dec 2005, an International Premiership Footballer star was gagged and bound in his luxury home.
His natural instinct was to fight back, but he was scared at what the four balaclava-wearing robbers might do to his wife and children lying asleep upstairs. He lay helpless as the gang made off with more than £500,000 of his and wife’s jewellery and personal assets.
The family concerned are still rebuilding their lives, due to the traumatic incident.
Traumatised by his family's narrow escape and his inability to protect them, he began finding excuses to spend more and more time away from home.
