World Cup 2010 Security
International Security Limited, based in the UK, are pleased to offer clients a bespoke security service for the FIFA World Cup 2010.
Individuals and groups travelling to South Africa are at high risk of robbery, car-jacking and kidnap and ransom. We offer high-quality round-the clock security protection, with client confidentiality at uppermost in our minds at all times. Our employees are highly trained Close Protection Operatives who have been drawn from Military backgrounds including those of The Special Air Service Regiment (SAS), Parachute Regiment, Royal Marines, Military Police and French Foreign Legion.
Our language capability enables us to provide male and female security teams with both English and Afrikaans speakers. Our staff have vast experience working in hostile environments including Africa, Iraq and most recently Afghanistan. Assignments already in place for the World Cup include work for corporate clients, international business executives and individuals and families within sport and media
Examples of Football Kidnappings:
- Edwin, brother of Tottenham midfielder, Wilson Palacios, was kidnapped in Honduras in 2007. His body was found in May 2009.
- Robinho's mother Marina fell victim to kidnappers in Sao Paulo in 2004 but was released after a £50,000 ransom was paid.
- Levan, brother of AC Milan's Kakha Kaladze, was kidnapped and murdered in 2001. His body was discovered in 2005.
- Norum, brother of Everton defender Joseph Yobo, was taken hostage in 2008 in Nigeria. He was released after a ransom was paid.
